Adjustments in the restart of Basic Secondary

The country adopts all measures to guarantee the restart of the school year in Basic Secondary, so that the educational objectives set forth with the more than 303,700 students in that education are met.

The country adopts all the measures to guarantee the restart of the school year in Basic Secondary, in order to meet the educational objectives set for the more than 303,700 students in that education.

Adalberto Revilla Vega, national director of that level, pointed out to Granma that the first three weeks, after the return to the classrooms, will be to systematize the contents already taught, including those treated in the teleclasses.

"The fourth week we have for the closing of the evaluation, say the integrative seminars and, in the case of Mathematics, a partial control work," he said. In the fifth, the revaluation of all the subjects will be carried out in the three grades, and in the sixth, the extraordinary. In the remaining two there will be the process of pedagogical delivery and the preparation of teachers for the next course.

FINAL ASSESSMENTS BY GRADE

For the seventh grade - the National Director of Basic Secondary points out - the closing will be with an integrating seminar in the subjects Natural Sciences, History, Civics and Spanish-Literature.

«It will consist of an individual delivery. At least it must have five pages with a structure of introduction, development, conclusions and annexes, "he added.

Revilla Vega informed that a work of control of Mathematics will be carried out, while Art Education, Computer Science, Labor Education, Physical Education and English will close with the evaluations carried out until March 20.

In eighth grade there will also be a math control work, and two integrative seminars will be held: one in the subjects Spanish, Civic and History, and the other in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography. Labor Education, English and Physical Education will conclude with the accumulated reached.

"Ninth grade ends with the systematic evaluations and control work carried out until March 20," he clarified.

CONTINUITY OF STUDIES

There is a six-week schedule, starting from the restart of the course, for the process of granting places to students who complete the intermediate level. In the second of these, the plan for places will be disclosed and the ranking will be published in all the basic secondary schools in the country, the official explained.

In the fourth, the degrees with additional requirements will be delivered: the pre-university vocational institutes of Exact Sciences (Ipvce), the pedagogical, Computer, Law and Sign Language Translation schools, in the case of Havana. The massive granting, which is done at the school level, will occur in the fifth week and in the sixth, the claims.

They have direct places the winners of national and provincial contests of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology; gold, silver and bronze medals, which expeditiously obtain admission to the Ipvce; also those who attended the ninth grade in vocational schools.
